The Pyramid Hill Historical Society was formed in 1965 by an enthusiastic group of people determined to preserve local and district history for future generations.

Among the fund-raising efforts was the sale of bricks, at one dollar each, with the donor's name inscribed in our Book of Memory

The new building in McKay Street was opened in 1970 and in more recent times an annexe has been added.

The former RSL hall was relocated in 2000 and is adjacent to the main building.
