Changed Forever: Legacies of Conflict is touring all around Victoria. We are so lucky to have the entire exhibition here in Pyramid Hill.

Changed Forever: Legacies of Conflict is an exhibition about modern theatres of war, like Rwanda, Afghanistan, Iraq, and East Timor. Places where Australian troops have served and where people have fled. This exhibition focuses on stories of soldiers and refugees, mental health, resettlement, and the resulting changing nature of Australian society. People are forever inspiring, and the stories told in this exhibition give light to that.

Pyramid Hill – Majors Vision Art Competition

On June 30th 1836 Major Mitchell climbed Pyramid Hill. “I feel sure,” he wrote, “that our steps would soon be followed by men and animals for which the land seemed to have been prepared”.
The Major’s Vision Art Competition is coming!
An Art Competition, with both open and junior sections is planned for Pyramid Hill during the last week of October.
The competition hopes to promote our icon, Pyramid Hill, and encourage tourism to our town and district. Raise awareness of the expeditions of Major Mitchell, the first European explorer to climb Pyramid Hill.
Profits to be directed to the New Historical Museum planned for construction in Barber Street.
To be held in conjunction with the Loddon Arts Trail to be held on 23rd and 24th October. During the Art Trail in the Loddon Shire, many galleries and private studios will be open for visitation.

Pyramid Hill was very lucky to have astronomers Patricia & Jim donate their time and expertise on Friday night 23rd February at the Northern Vic Quarter Horse Club (NVQHA) Arena.  We were able to view the craters on the moon and the many stars and star clouds, and also witnessed the International Space Station passing through.

Supper was provided at a small cost and put on by the volunteers of the NVQHA.

Due to the success of our night, we will be holding another in October/November (date is still to be confirmed).  On this night you will have a chance to see some Planets up close!!
